This procurement exercise is an invited Request for Tender to supply and install air conditioning split system in up to 957 AHO owned properties by 31 August 2027.
Project goals
- Improved quality of life: The program will deliver urgent energy efficiency upgrades to Aboriginal homes across NSW, improving the quality of life, health, and safety of Aboriginal families.
- Economic Aboriginal opportunities: The program will create employment opportunities for Aboriginals due to AHO’s APP targets.
- Reduced health risks: Addressing issues such as heat stress in homes will reduce health risks for tenants, leading to better health outcomes.
- Increased tenant satisfaction: Upgrading homes will increase tenant satisfaction with their living conditions and the services provided.
- Residual value: The upgrades will increase the residual value of the properties.
- Increase in home comfort through being able to use air conditioning and heating.
- Increase in tenant knowledge and confidence about energy efficiency and utility use
-Due to use of modern materials and insulation, it is anticipated the cost of living in the dwellings will reduce, combined with renewable energy sources (solar program has targeted the same homes) will generate a 30% to 40% reduction in energy bills for clients.
Scope
The AHO is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors with the ability, capability, capacity, and experience to supply and install air conditioning split system in up to 957 AHO owned properties by 31 August 2027. It is expected that installation will commence from September 2026 and progressively ramp up to meet the program objectives.
Tenderers must supply, store, and install the air conditioning units. Tenderers will be responsible for the Goods until transfer of Title to the AHO. This transfer will include all responsibility apart from the manufacturer’s warranty (the tenderer will be held responsible for said warranty and replacement processes).
