The trade package includes complete supply, delivery, handling, and installation of carpet and vinyl floor coverings as specified in project drawings and documents.
This involves preparing and leveling substrates, installing necessary underlays, trims, and accessories, providing all required ramping to transition between different floor finishes, and ensuring proper protection and cleaning of installed surfaces.
The subcontractor must submit detailed work programs, shop drawings, samples, warranties, and maintenance manuals. They are responsible for inspecting substrates before work, installing silicone joints at all abutments, and protecting floor wastes during installation. All works must comply with manufacturers recommendations, project specifications, and standards. Incidental and consequential works, including coordination, site cleaning, and addressing defects, are also included within this scope.
