Biosolids Application to Land 2026-28 at Waihī Beach

⁠⁠⁠Western Bay of Plenty District Council (Western Bay) wishes to procure physical works for biosolids application to land 2026-28 at Waihī Beach.

Council owns a farm beside the Wastewater Treatment plant site at Capamagian Drive. Council has recently re-consented application of biosolids to land on the farm. This continues a practice that has been carried out since early this century.

We are seeking a supplier who can carry out the application process during each of the forthcoming three summers – subject to contract rollover.

This is likely to involve heavy agricultural equipment to extract the biosolids and apply them to land in accordance with the relevant Consent and management plan. All without adversely affecting farming activities.
