Expressions of Interest - Tourism Working Group

⁠⁠⁠The district council of Peterborough is seeking expressions of interest from the community members, local businesses, tourism operators and interested stake holders to participate in a newly established Tourism Working Group.

Council recently resolved to establish the Working Group to assist council in progressing tourism-related initiatives and opportunities across the district.

• identify tourism opportunities and priorities;
• support tourism promotion and visitation initiatives
• provide local knowledge and industry input
• encourage partnerships and collaboration across the tourism sector
• assist Council in strengthening the visitor economy within the district

Council is seeking individuals who have:

• an interest in tourism and community development;
• experience or involvement in tourism, hospitality, event, retail, accommodation, art, culture or related industries
• a strong interest in contributing to the future growth and promotion of tourism within the Peterborough district.

Membership is intended to reflect a broad cross-section of the community and tourism sector.

Meetings are expected to be periodically throughout the year, with administrative support provided by Council.

Expressions of Interest should include:

• applicant name and details;
• organisation or business represented (if applicable); and
• a brief statement outlining the applicant's interest in and potential contribution to the Working Group.
