Provision of Employee Assistance Program Services

⁠⁠⁠This contract is for the provision of employee assistance program services (EAP).

Council recognises that both work and home environments can have an impact on an employee’s health and work performance and that council can assist with the wellbeing of employees when problems affect their work or quality of life.

Council’s employees are located in the city of Toowoomba as well as regional areas including the townships of Charlton, Clifton, Greenmount, Pittsworth, Oakey, Goombungee, Crows Nest, Highfields, Yarraman, Cecil Plains and Millmerran.

Confidential counselling is to be provided for a broad range of issues of a personal nature as well as work-related difficulties. Counselling and assistance with personal crisis situations are included in the core activities. Employees require access to counselling services 24 hours a day, 7 days per week (24/7). Eligible persons will be able to access up to 6 counselling sessions. An extension for additional sessions, if recommended by client’s counsellor, will be sought from Toowoomba Regional Council’s nominated EAP contact officer.
