The City of Bunbury has issued this request for the Western Australian Regional Capitals Alliance Incorporated.
The Regional Capitals Alliance Western Australian (RCAWA) is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified consultant to perform the role of Executive Officer to the Alliance.
As a guide, it is estimated the annual requirement to perform this function is approximately 400 hours and the appointment is for an initial two (2) year term.
RCAWA has an important role to play in advancing regional Western Australia’s development and vibrant economic diversity through the promotion of effective collaboration, advocacy, strategic planning and forging effective partnerships that are aligned to the following vision:
“RCAWA will enable the member regional capital communities to evolve into fully fledged alternatives to the Perth metropolitan areas.
This is an outstanding opportunity to make a positive difference in regional development by leading the Alliance through its next phase of development and growth. The Executive Officer will provide the Alliance with high level executive support, and lead the development of a strategic plan that sets the future direction and key focus areas.
This project will require a sophisticated Consultant skilled in group facilitation, multi-agency collaboration, analysis of opportunities and strategy formulation. Experience with, and knowledge of, regional competitiveness and State and Federal economic development as applicable to regional development is highly desirable.
RCAWA currently consists of the following seven member Councils:
• Shire of Broome
• Town of Port Hedland
• City of Karratha
• City of Kalgoorlie Boulder
• City of Greater Geraldton
• City of Bunbury
• City of Albany
