Wyreema Reservoir Rehabilitation

⁠⁠⁠SCOPE OF WORKS:

The works described in this section are based on the findings and recommendations of the Condition Assessment Report prepared by Water Infrastructure Services (WIS), dated October 2023. Tenderers are encouraged to review this report prior to submission.

Roof Sealing Remediation

• Sealing of the entire roof area, including at the roof perimeter flashing, central ridge cap, roof sheeting end profiles, and vertical roof edge sheeting.

• Sealing of all box gutters to prevent water and vermin ingress, followed by pressure washing to remove contamination and leaf debris.

• Sealing of all unsealed ingress points at all entry hatches, and review and rectification of hatch security to prevent unauthorised access.

• Replacement of all vermin proofing mesh at the roof sheeting to wall interface with mesh of an appropriate aperture size or alternatively sealing of the sheeting externally.

• Inspection of the roof vent for vermin proofing condition, to be undertaken concurrently with roof sealing works.

• Following completion of all roof sealing works, cleaning of all internal roof framing and tops of walls to remove contamination.

Roof Structure Repairs

• Replacement of all severely corroded platform support bracket bolts. 

• Repair of spalled grout pads at roof framing to wall connections, including cleaning and protective coating of all corroded anchors. 

• Removal of displaced isolation sheeting from within the reservoir. 

• Removal of the plywood packer at the roof beam to wall connection and installation of an appropriate grout pad.

Concrete Joint Rehabilitation

• Rehabilitation of all internal concrete wall joints, wall-to-floor joints, and floor joints using a joint sealing system such as Sikadur Combiflex or approved equivalent.

• Replacement of all floor joints.

• All joint rehabilitation works to be carried out in accordance with the Condition Assessment Report and relevant manufacturer specifications.

Steel and Structural Works

• Treatment of corrosion and application of zinc-rich primer to all nominated steel components on the external access structure. 

• Treatment of corrosion on handrails and application of zinc-rich primer, including at all weld locations.

• Replacement of all corroded bolts within platform bracing.

• Installation of a lock box to the external access lock. 

• Preparation, cleaning and coating of overflow brackets.

Internal Pipework and Coating

• Preparation, cleaning, and coating of internal pipework, including replacement of all brackets. 

• Preparation and epoxy coating of inlet/outlet, overflow, and scour pipework using an AS4020-compliant coating system. 

• Application of an internal wall epoxy coating system (MasterEmaco 2525 or approved equivalent) compliant with AS4020:2018 requirements for potable water contact. 

• All coating systems to be applied in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and relevant Australian Standards.

• Note: Polyurea coating systems are not acceptable under this contract.
