W2WS Waipawa River Directional Drilling

⁠⁠⁠Central Hawke's Bay District Council (CHBDC) is proposing to construct a potable water pipeline. The CHBDC requires a contractor to complete a 350m Horizontal Directional Drilling pipe installation underneath the Waipawa River to support the wider project. The wider project, that is not included in this contract, connects the Waipawa water treatment plant to Waipukurau with a reservoir at the high point between the two towns (the 'Waipukurau Second Water Supply). The project objective is to provide a supplementary water supply to Waipukurau to address risks associated with the current Waipukurau water supply system.

This EOI is only for the directional drilling (plus a small 150m section of trenched pipe) - the remainder of the pipeline and reservoir works will be tendered through CHBDC's existing Pipeline and Civil Work Panel.
