Mechanical Mining Electrical Safety Seminars 2027

⁠⁠⁠The Resources Regulator seminars support mine safety, risk prevention and compliance. Events require space for up to 300 attendees with advanced AV for presentations and interactive sessions.

Project goals

The Resources Regulator delivers safety seminars to the NSW mining industry and, over many years, these seminars have proven to be a critical priority for industry stakeholders.

We remain committed to supporting an industry that operates to the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing. In alignment with our strategic objectives and our compliance obligations under relevant WHS legislation, we intend to deliver three two‑day safety seminars aimed at strengthening awareness, improving safety practices, and fostering a proactive safety culture across the sector.

Objectives:

• Deliver Safe and Effective Seminars - Provide professional, compliant facilities and services that support the delivery of mine safety seminars and meet all occupational health and safety requirements.
• Ensure Capacity and Accessibility - Secure a venue capable of accommodating up to 300 participants, equipped with modern technology, accessibility features, and reliable technical support.
• Facilitate Interactive Learning - Create an environment that promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and active engagement among mining professionals.
• Maintain High Standards of Service - Ensure seamless event management - including catering, audio‑visual support, and on‑site coordination, to enable efficient and effective seminar delivery.

Scope

The Resources Regulator hosts three major annual safety seminars: the Mechanical Engineering Safety Seminar, the Mining Safety Seminar, and the Electrical Engineering Safety Seminar.

Each seminar is expected to attract between 200 and 250 industry representatives from across the mining sector, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders including designers, manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, equipment hirers, and mine operators.

To support the successful delivery of these events, we are seeking a suitable venue that offers competitive rates and date options.

Additional details/instructions

Alternative locations outside of the CBD will be considered if the right value proposition is provided. Presented dates are to avoid Monday's or Friday's.
