Provision of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) based road network performance data
Main Roads recognises the continued need for accurate and reliable GPS based road network performance data to make informed data-driven business decisions, optimise network performance, report key performance indicators and accelerate response to incidents.
Main Roads intends to procure historical data (up to previous day) and real-time data (latency not exceeding five minutes) that will enable the following broad use cases:
- Network performance management, planning and reporting
- Post project evaluation and analysis
- Real-time operations
- Near term predictions of the network
The proposed contract period is two years, with two optional extensions for up to a year each.
