Tarata Road Resilience Project Sites 2 & 5a Construction Services

New Plymouth District Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced civil contractor to deliver road construction services for Sites 2 & 5a of the Tarata Road Resilience Programme.

This Request for Proposal has been re-issued by New Plymouth District Council and replaces Tender 26-100, Tarata Road Resilience Project, Sites 2 & 5a, which was cancelled on 9 July 2026.

Scope

• Delivery of road construction services for Sites 2 & 5a as one package as part of the Tarata Road Resilience Programme

Contractor Requirements

• Suitably qualified and experienced civil contractor with the capability and capacity to deliver road construction services for Sites 2 & 5a as one package
• Demonstrated capability and capacity to complete the works using machine control technology (graders and excavators)

Contract Terms and Conditions

• All physical works for Site 2 & 5a are required to be completed by 11 December 2026
• NZS 3910-2023 Contract Agreement Schedule 1a has minor revisions relating to clause 9.3
• Pavement roughness item 2.4 has been amended

Instructions to Tenderers

Contractors who had already begun preparing responses to Tender 26-100 are encouraged to review this RFP in full and pay particular attention to the revisions made to the evaluation methodology.

Questions addressed in prior Notices to Tenderers (NTTs) are provided in Appendix 05 to ensure all parties have equal access to all tender information.

The response form questions remain unchanged and are the same as those included in the prior RFP 26-100.
