Brush and Grass Cutting Reserves – Fire Risk Area

⁠⁠⁠The City of Mitcham (“Council”) invites tenders for the provision Brush and Grass Cutting Services (Reserves) in the Fire Risk Area (the “Services”).

The Council has a duty to ensure that identified fuel reduction zones on Council reserves in the hills area, excluding Bush For Life (BFL) sites, are maintained to a maximum grass height of 80 -100mm prior to the Fire Danger Season (usually before December each year).

Brush cutting and mowing of fuel reduction zones applies to all identified areas which equates to approximately 913,260 m2).

Council has a strong environmental commitment to protect native vegetation. The successful Contractor will need to demonstrate knowledge of local native vegetation.
