Management and Operation of the Wondai Memorial Swimming Pool

⁠⁠⁠South Burnett Regional Council is the owner of the Wondai Memorial Swimming Pool, located at 101 Mackenzie Street Wondai 4606, approximately 250 km northeast of Brisbane Queensland. The centre consists of a 25 m Outdoor Swimming Pool and a Childrens splash park. There is a modest 2-bedroom accommodation on site available for the Manager and immediate family to utilise. It is expected that the successful tendering entity will work closely with the Community and Council to ensure a seamless collaborative approach in operating the facility.

The Council wishes to enter a Management Contract for the operation and management of the Wondai Memorial Swimming Pool and is calling for quotations from suitably qualified and resourced entities for this purpose.

 The Council expects the entity awarded the rights and obligations under the Management Contract to operate and manage the Wondai Memorial Swimming Pool pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Contract.

The Term of the Contract for the operation of the Wondai Memorial Swimming Pool commences on the commencement date as defined within the Contract and remains in force for an initial 1 year with possible extension option of 1 year and 2nd extension option of 1 year , and a 3rd extension option of 1 year unless terminated earlier under the Contract.

Council will accept individual or multiple tender applications for the following sites.

1) WJ Lang Memorial Olympic Pool

2) Murgon Aquatic Centre

3) Wondai Memorial Swimming Pool
