Tender Description
Established in 1945 by the Queensland Government, the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute (“QIMR Berghofer”) is one of the largest and most successful medical research institutions in Australia and is recognised worldwide for the quality of its research.
QIMR Berghofer currently has four significant research areas Cancer, Infectious Diseases, Mental Health, and Chronic Disorders. QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and support staff in four research groups across more than 50 laboratories.
QIMR Berghofer has a requirement for:
(a) Wet & Dry Fire Systems and Equipment Maintenance.
(b) Ad hoc small-scale minor works and corrective maintenance for wet & dry fire systems.
QIMR Berghofer may lease additional spaces also requiring maintenance from time to time which may be included as a variation under this proposed agreement.
The following QIMR Berghofer facilities requiring Fire Systems and Equipment maintenance under this contract are:
• Central Building
• CBCRC Building
• Bancroft Centre
All 3 buildings within the QIMR Berghofer portfolio are subject to alternative solutions and have additional maintenance requirements as detailed in the relevant fire engineering reports. The successful Offeror shall familiarise themselves with the relevant fire engineering reports to ensure maintenance is provided in accordance with the requirements detailed therein which forms part of the original National Construction Code (NCC) certification and ongoing requirements.
