Entries for this year’s exhibition to be held during the month of August at the Two Wells Library are now open and close on Friday, 10 July 2026.
The Adelaide Plains Council is excited to be hosting once again an art exhibition showcasing local and South Australian artists’ work.
The exhibition will take place as part of the 2026 SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Festival from Saturday 1 August 2026 to Saturday 29 August 2026, at the Two Wells Public Library (61 Old Port Wakefield Road, Two Wells) as the exhibition venue.
Artists working in all genres and media are encouraged to submit original art pieces that have not previously been displayed at the Two Wells Library “For Sale” or “For Display Only”.
Opportunity to Exhibit
The Adelaide Plains Council will be displaying all artwork during the 2026 SALA Festival at the Two Wells Public Library. In submitting their artwork to Council, the artist understands and agrees that the artwork (if selected) remains available to Council for the whole duration of the exhibition (Saturday, 1 August 2026 to Saturday, 29 August 2026 inclusive). Artists are encouraged to have artworks for sale; artworks that are not available for sale must be clearly marked “NFS” (Not for Sale).
Appropriate artwork for the exhibition will:
• be presented in a professional manner and be appropriate for viewing by the general community, including children;
• promote cultural and community development and diversity, education, health, recreation and other community-based initiatives;
• be suitable for wall and/or floor mounted display and supported on a solidly constructed framework which enables hanging on hooks or mounting on a platform. Where identified Council may request artists to provide props to display artwork and will negotiate with artists as appropriate;
• all hanging works must have hanging wire 30 cms or less from the top affixed by screw-in V or D rings. It is preferred that works not exceed 1 square metre.
• be structurally sound and not contain hazardous substances, materials or protruding sharp objects such as jagged glass, asbestos, barbed wire, sheet metal or items which could be removed.
