Division Overview:

The Corporate and Research Division’s primary role is to enable and support the Agency to achieve its strategic priorities, performance targets and operational outcomes through the delivery of high quality, contemporary and innovative corporate services, best practice research and analysis, and targeted capability development.

Branch Overview:

The Digital and Technology Service (DTS) Branch provides digital and technology services to ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) and its stakeholders. The Branch works in a business partnership model with all ACMA divisions to enable regulation of communications and media to maximise the economic and social benefits for Australia. DTS has four key objectives:

• Manage Information and Cyber Security Risks, to protect, manage, detect, respond, secure information systems and platforms for the ACMA.
• Deliver Digital and Data Services, to provide the ACMA with end-to-end digital services and inform decision making through actionable insights resulting from the analysis of ACMA’s data assets.
• Enable greater staff productivity through connection, collaboration, and efficiency.

Section Overview:

The responsibilities of the Digital and Data Products section include:

• To deliver a pipeline of digital and data products in a sustainable way that
• Promotes and showcases digital behaviours
• Provides evergreen digital and data services
• Optimises business processes through automation and workflow
• Builds digital competencies such as product ownership
• Reduces the burden on industry and employees, and;
• Transforms ACMA’s application suite to be cloud native by 2028

Role Overview:

Enhance reliability and availability by establishing contemporary technology platforms that delivers modern business capabilities.

The ACMA is currently investing in the analysis, development, and provisioning of end-to-end digital services that:

• Improve ACMA clients and customers productivity, and increased satisfaction with the ACMA
• Provide ACMA staff with better tools and digitised processes to reduce their workload
• Deliver a single view of clients, compliance, enforcement, and other activities that underpin service delivery at the ACMA
• Inform decision making through actionable insights resulting from the analysis of ACMA’s data assets

As a full stack solutions developer at the ACMA, will join a team of experienced developers, forming part of the agile delivery team that is responsible for the ongoing scoping, development, testing and delivery of new Digital Services.

Reporting to the Section Manager, this role in DTS will have a direct impact in helping our cross-functional teams deliver incremental value in digital services to the business and end user. You will work with key technical and business stakeholders as a member of the delivery team, with the purpose of understanding and meeting the needs of ACMA clients and internal users. You will utilise your technical skills as a developer to build digital services that meet their needs in the latest technology stack with modern tools and services.

Role Functions:

You will have experience with:

• Working in an agile environment to deliver digital projects.
• Full stack development across the Microsoft D365/Power Apps/Dataverse landscape, .NET, React, JavaScript and TypeScript technologies.
• Automation of builds, tests and deployments
• Participating in requirements analysis and user story estimation
