Job details
The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) seeks to engage one or more Lead Data Engineers with deep expertise in Azure Synapse, Data Lake, and cloud-scale data platforms. Candidates will be assessed on merit and may be placed in a merit list, if more than one candidate strong candidate is identified.
This role places a high priority on communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement. The Lead Data Engineer(s) must be highly personable and able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences, fostering collaboration and trust across multiple delivery teams.
The Lead Data Engineer(s) will be responsible for designing, building, validating, and governing enterprise data solutions, ensuring data quality, operational readiness, risk mitigation, and fitness-for-purpose delivery across multiple delivery teams.
The role embeds quality engineering and testability by design, ensuring that data platforms support accurate reporting, regulatory assurance, and long-term maintainability.
