At the April 2023 Ordinary Meeting of Council, Council resolved to forth with progress conversion of 100% of the 4 lots at Moreau Mews, Applecross to public open space.
At the 2025 Ordinary Meeting of Council, a concept design for the Moreau Mews Town Square and Public Open Space was endorsed.
As the meeting place of the Swan and Canning rivers, this project has great significance to many people. An over-arching concept has been developed for this park in collaboration with Whadjuk Noongar elders, outlining the importance of these waterways to all who live, dwell, and recreate upon their shores.
The Playspace is a central feature within the 2-rivers concept and requires specialised design and construction to bring this new Town Centre to life.
This project is to be completed within the 2026/27 financial year.
