Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Purpose:

To enhance the capacity of humanitarian and warehousing personnel from selected Pacific Island countries in providing immediate and effective first aid response during workplace and emergency situations.

Objectives:

• To equip participants with internationally recognized first aid knowledge and practical skills within the workplace environment of a warehouse

• To strengthen occupational health and safety (OHS) compliance across participating countries

• To promote a standardized approach to first aid response within the Pacific humanitarian sector

• To foster regional collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants

Scope of Services / Activities:

The Contractor will be responsible for:

• Designing and delivering a 5 hour certified First Aid Training in Brisbane, Australia

• Facilitating both theoretical and practical sessions, including CPR and emergency response guidance

• Providing all required training materials and equipment

• Conducting participant assessments and issuing certificates upon successful completion

Key Activities:

• Delivery of instructor-led training sessions

• Facilitation of hands-on practical exercises

• Administration of pre- and post-training assessments

• Coordination with the organizing team on logistics and schedule

Participants:

• Representatives from multiple Pacific Island countries (e.g., NDMOs, warehouse/logistics personnel)

• Estimated number of participants: 6

Inputs Provided by the Client:

• Participant list

• Venue coordination in Brisbane

Expected Outputs:

• Delivery of one (1) regional First Aid Training session

• Training materials distributed to all participants

• Certification of participants upon completion

• Submission of one (1) training report (5–10 pages), including attendance, evaluation results, and recommendations

Constraints/Conditions:

• Training must be delivered in The Humanitarian Logistics Capability warehouse at 113 Bancroft Rd, Pinkenba, Brisbane, Australia, on agreed dates

• Contractor must comply with Australian training and certification standards

• Contractor must provide all necessary equipment (e.g., CPR mannequins, first aid kits)
