Solar Panels

⁠⁠⁠Supply and installation of solar power systems across multiple Council facilities. This includes sites such as depots, stores, sheds, showgrounds, town halls, and water treatment plants across all five regions. The project also includes energy analysis services using tools such as Energy Detective (developed by RAPID with LGAQ) to assess National Metering Identifiers (NMIs) and identify the most suitable high-usage sites for solar installation.

Expected Timing (if known):

• Start Date: 3 August 2025
• End Date: 30 June 2027

The initial phase will involve assessing NMIs across the Council network and prioritising high-energy-use locations, followed by staged solar installations.

To reduce the cost of electricity for high-use Council facilities and improve long-term cost efficiency and sustainability through the installation of solar power systems.
