Regional Code of Conduct Review Services

⁠⁠⁠Clarence Valley Council, in partnership with Mid North Coast councils, jointly invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible persons for appointment to a Regional Code of Conduct Review Services, in accordance with the Administrative Framework of the Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils in New South Wales.

 The Clarence Valley Council, in partnership with Mid North Coast councils represents the interest of (5) Member Councils which are as follows:

•   Clarence Valley Council
•   Coffs Harbour Council
•   Bellingen Shire Council
•   Kempsey Shire Council
•   Nambucca Shire Council
•   Port Macquarie Council

 Clarence Valley Council, in partnership with Mid North Coast councils, invites tenders, from qualified practitioners, for the provision of code of conduct review for the period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2030.

 Conduct Reviewers may be required to do preliminary assessments, mediations, sole investigations or participate in Conduct Review Committee investigations.

 The Local Government Act 1993 NSW requires that all NSW Councils adopt a new Code of Conduct and that it incorporates the provisions of the current Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils in NSW 2020.

 Part 3 of the Administrative Framework requires every council to establish a panel of Conduct Reviewers. Councils may enter into an arrangement with one or ore other Councils or group of councils to share a Panel of Conduct Reviewers.
