Routable Roads Network Dataset

⁠⁠⁠ Spatial WA is a whole of government program that will implement digital twin technology for WA government. The digital twin will provide the State’s data in one platform, with tools for Government to better plan, design, test and collaborate in a highly accurate virtual environment.

Four initial use cases have been selected to be delivered in the first half of the Program. These align with Government priorities around infrastructure delivery, planning reforms and emergency management.

To deliver these use cases effectively, they need the right data. Not all datasets are readily available and need to be sourced from the market, or developed. This RFI seeks to understand the current market for a ‘Routable Road Networks (RRN) Dataset’.  Routable Road Networks are a fundamental requirement for a statewide system that will be utilised to determine optimum travel times for multiple planning scenarios. These range from emergency management to transport planning. 

Currently, WA does not have a state-wide useable Routable Roads Network Dataset that can be directly applied to the spatial digital twin.

This Request for Information (RFI) is therefore intended to inform project planning by understanding the current market environment for a Routable Roads Network Dataset.
