The ERP Enterprise Architect (ERP / Core Platforms) provides enterprise level and ERP solution architectural leadership for the Department’s ERP modernisation and associated transformation initiatives.
This role operates at the intersection of strategy and delivery, ensuring the ERP solution is designed and implemented in a manner that is secure, scalable, interoperable and aligned to the Department’s target state architecture, business objectives and funding priorities.
The role leads DSS’s internal technical ERP architecture planning and design across platforms and core enterprise systems, providing technical authority, direction and assurance across the program. It plays a key role in translating business strategy and operational requirements into clear architectural designs, standards and roadmaps.
The position requires deep ERP solution architecture expertise, strong enterprise architecture capability, and the ability to engage confidently with Senior Executive Service (SES), business leaders, system integrators and vendors in complex and fast‑paced environments.
This role is critical to ensuring the Department’s ERP migration delivers long-term business value, minimises risk, and avoids creating future operational and technical challenges. The ERP Enterprise Architect provides the technical leadership necessary to balance delivery pressures with sustainable enterprise outcomes.
