Please note - This is an approved short timeframe tender.
To cater for future growth in the Parkes Shire Council region an upgrade of the raw water transfer system from the Lachlan River to the Parkes Township is required. Council are currently progressing the procurement for the Lachlan Duplication Project. A significant piece of the Parkes Water Security Program is the Lachlan Pipeline Duplication. This pipeline is approximately 35km long and runs from the Lachlan Region to the Parkes Water Treatment Plant. The Lachlan Pipeline Duplication shall augment the existing raw water transfer capabilities and ensure future demand can be met and water security is achieved for the Parkes Shire.
The procurement for the Lachlan Duplication Project, due to the current market and global volatility, will be completed in three (3) sections:
- Section One (1) – the pipeline from the Akuna Road Pump Station to the Raw Water Storage Lagoon (within the Parkes Water Treatment Plant).
- Section Two (2) – the pipeline from the Lachlan River to the New Eugowra Road Pump Station
- Section Three (3) – the pipeline from the New Eugowra Road Pump Station to the Akuna Road Pump Station
This Request for Tender is for the procurement of the pipe for Section One (1) – the pipeline from the Akuna Road Pump Station to the Raw Water Storage Lagoon (within the Parkes Water Treatment Plant). This section of works will require approximately 6km of pipeline through a residential and grazed area of the Parkes Township.
The specifications for the required pipe (being the Goods) are set out in Section E – Technical Documents.
