UI and UX Revalidation Services

⁠⁠⁠The Foreign Investment Digital Transformation program delivered digital services to modernise and streamline foreign investment regulatory processes and improve the experience for investors, agents and government users. The program includes two core digital services: the Foreign Investment portal and the Consult Partner portal. In early 2024, Treasury engaged Pollen to undertake a UI and UX review of both portals. This engagement identified usability, accessibility and consistency considerations and produced recommendations aligned with recognised government standards, including the Digital Service Standard and WCAG. The outcomes informed agreed design principles, supporting artefacts and a design system that guided subsequent delivery.

Since completion of the review, both the Foreign Investment portal and the Consult Partner portal have progressed from design into active development and implementation. The same design system and patterns have also been adopted by the Payment Times Reporting portal, which we want included in the revalidation to confirm the consistent and appropriate application of those designs across services.
