NSISC_Hume Street Carpark Complex - Remedial Works to Blockworks Walls

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited from appropriately qualified and experienced contractors to undertake remedial building works to blockwork walls at the North Sydney Indoor Sports Centre / Hume Street Carpark Complex in Crows Nest. The walls were constructed in the 1990s and are suffering from concrete cancer due to water ingress causing internal rusting of the reinforcing. Due to the extent of deterioration, the project engineer has specified new replacement walls.

Works under this contract include but are not limited to: installation of temporary works platforms / scaffolds, demolition and disposal of existing reinforced core-filled concrete blockwork, installation of new reinforced core-filled concrete blockwork, new flashings, jointing and sealants, and associated works. A single contractor / builder to undertake the full scope of works is required. Tenders from individual trades will not be accepted.

A pre-tender meeting will be held in the Hume Street Carpark / Sports Centre Complex, 36 Hume Street, Crows Nest on Wednesday 6 May 2026 at 2pm. Tenderers are required to visit the site prior to submitting tenders. Failure by the Tenderer to do so may lead to rejection of the Tender.

The Date and Closing time for Tenders is Tuesday 19 May 2026 at 3 pm sharp. Tenders are to be submitted in accordance with the Conditions of Tendering, either using the Electronic Tender Box via the e-tendering portal link above or lodged as hard-copy in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the contract name and number and placed into Council's Tender Box, ground floor of the Council Chambers building at the address below.
