⁠⁠⁠Safety, quality, certification & traceability (mandatory technical requirements)

• Equipment supplied must be fit-for-purpose, correctly rated, and supported by documentation, markings, and traceability appropriate to lifting applications, including working load limit (WLL) identification and batch/serial traceability where applicable.

• Providers should demonstrate capability to support inspection, testing and certification, including load testing where required, and supply certification records as part of the deliverable data pack.

• Where relevant to the supplied equipment types, providers should demonstrate compliance with the following (or equivalent/recognised) standards and requirements:

• Shackles: AS 2741 (including proof testing expectations and traceable marking conventions).
• Synthetic slings: Round slings to AS 4497 and web slings to AS 1353 (including WLL identification conventions).
• Manual hoisting equipment: Designed in accordance with EN 13157 and AS 1418.2 where applicable to manual hoists/chain blocks.
• Plate lifting clamps / lifting devices: Conformance to AS 4991 where applicable to lifting clamps/devices.

• Fabricated lifting devices (e.g., beams, frames, stillages/cassettes) are expected to be supplied with appropriate evidence of conformance to relevant Australian Standards and certification, including proof of design/verification and third-party testing where required.
