Call for Artists
Looking for a unique venue to showcase your artwork this SALA Festival? We’ve got an epic canvas for you!
Be part of our iconic Karoonda Silo Projections as we light up the night for the 2026 South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival this August.
Whether you're a painter, photographer, digital artist or mixed media creator, this is your chance to see your work illuminated at night on a giant concrete canvas!
'After the Harvest' explores what remains once the work is done: the quiet after labour, the land after use, and the pause that follows a busy season. Set against the towering silos of Karoonda, this large‑scale outdoor exhibition invites artists to reflect on rest, memory, renewal and the cycles that carry us forward.
Inspired by our rural region but open to broader interpretations, After the Harvest welcomes responses that are personal, environmental, cultural or experimental.
About the Exhibition
2026 marks the District Council of Karoonda East Murray’s seventh year participating in the statewide South Australian Living Artists Festival (SALA). SALA at the Silos transforms the Karoonda silos into a night‑time outdoor gallery through large‑scale digital projection. Throughout August, artworks will be projected each evening onto the silos, creating an immersive public exhibition visible from the town centre.
