Tender Description

OPPORTUNITY:

UTS is seeking to establish a contract for the provision of supply and ongoing services of an integrated multimodal imaging instrument integrating surface-sensitive TIRF (Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence) and 3D live cellular imaging. The instrument is intended to enable high-resolution, high-throughput multicolour imaging to analyse nanoscale biological structures, including single extracellular vesicles, as well as 3D volumetric imaging for live and fixed samples, as defined in the Statement of Requirement of this RFT. The successful tenderer is also expected to provide supporting services, in coordination with UTS, in a timely manner to ensure sufficient uptime of the equipment.

Compliant and competitive offers for the instrument are expected to be comprising of the following integrated imaging platforms:

  • TIRF Module: Automated total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy with high-resolution single-particle detection capability
  •  3D Cellular Imaging: Optical sectioning capability enabling 3D volumetric imaging of fixed and live cell samples with Z-resolution sufficient to resolve subcellular compartments

RFT OBJECTIVES:

The objectives for this acquisition are:

  • Ensuring safety of UTS staff/students, enhancing efficiencies and delivering quality of service and research outcome for UTS;
  • Ensure the best overall value for money outcome for UTS. This includes assessment of both compliance with mandatory requirements and performance against weighted evaluation criteria and reduction the total life cost of the system and associated deliverables
  • To secure professional ongoing warranty, maintenance and other support services for the Systems
