Council invites tenders from suitably qualified contractors for an internal refurbishment of the rear section of the Old Echuca Pumphouse, a Councilowned building located in Echuca. The works will enable the space to be repurposed as functional office accommodation for Council’s Sustainability Directorate.
The project includes internal reconfiguration to create a large openplan office, manager offices, meeting rooms, a staff room/kitchen, printer room and associated amenities, in accordance with the architectural and services documentation. Works also include upgrades to building services, fire and emergency systems, accessibility improvements, replacement of the existing southwest entrance with a new accessible entry, and reconstruction of rear external stairs and deck.
All works are to comply with relevant Australian Standards, the National Construction Code, and accessibility requirements. No works are proposed to the heritagelisted former pumping station at the front of the building.
