Considering a rural health career? Sponsorships available for allied health practitioners’ transition program

⁠⁠⁠HNECC PHN, in partnership with SARRAH, is inviting Expressions of Interest from allied health professionals working in MM3+ locations to complete the Transition to Rural Practice (TTRP) program.

Valued at $10,000, the fully funded, 12‑month Transition to Rural Practice Program recognises the challenges of recruiting and retaining allied health professionals in rural roles and providing easy access to professional development.

The PHN will sponsor 10 early-career clinicians to complete the TRRP program through a structured 12-month program.

This initiative complements existing rural generalist pathways and responds to the growing need for sustainable, well‑supported allied health services across the Hunter, New England and Central Coast regions.

Participants will gain access to a structured program that includes onboarding support, enrolment in SARRAH’s* Rural & Remote Practice Foundations course, Indigenous Allied Health Australia’s Cultural Responsiveness Level 1 training, fortnightly coaching, and a tailored professional development plan.
