Supply and Installation of Windscreens and Windows for the Transwa Road Coach Fleet

⁠⁠⁠Transwa is the regional arm of the Public Transport Authority (PTA) and a direct provider of public transport services to meet the needs of regional Western Australia.

The Transwa network extends to Kalbarri (coast) and Meekatharra (inland) in the north, east to Kalgoorlie and southeast to Esperance. A large portion of services cater for the major regional centres throughout the southwest of the state.

The road coach fleet delivers an essential service for regional Western Australia. The road coach network links some 240 regional communities to Perth, and points in between, and the 130 weekly scheduled services carry approximately 205,000 passengers per annum.

Transwa operate twenty-five Volvo/Irizar road coaches, of which twenty-three were delivered in 2016, and two were delivered in 2022. The road coaches are a Volvo B11R chassis with an Irizar i6 body. The road coaches travel approximately 150,000 kms each per year.

This procurement seeks a Contractor to supply and install windscreens and side windows for an initial 3-year contract term, with one option to extend for an additional year.

SCOPE OF WORK

 Transwa requires the Contractor to supply the windscreen and side window glass as required and provide appropriate personnel to carry out repairs to the windscreens and windows on the Transwa road coaches. The fleet consists of 23 road coaches (25 in early 2022), which are manufactured with a Volvo B11R Chassis on an Irizar i6 body.

 The services must be provided at the Transwa Road Coach Depot, Summers Street, East Perth, WA, 6000.

 The contractor must provide all glass and always have the product in stock or be able to provide within 24 hours of receiving a request from Transwa.
