Tender Description
The City of Playford invites tenders for the provision of pipeline emergency repair services for the Playford Recycled Water Scheme which provides fit for purpose irrigation water for council reserves and recreational facilities.
Recycled water is also sold to other users within the council for irrigation of playing fields and grassed areas.
The scheme not only benefits customers and the environment but also generates revenue that can be put directly back into extending and maintaining the scheme and infrastructure.
Playford Water supports several Council strategies by improving the city’s appearance, building value and supporting the development of the City of Playford as Adelaide’s Northern CBD.
To support Council’s strategies, the objectives of the recycled water operation are to:
• provide stormwater management and mitigate flooding across the city.
• improve city presentation.
• deliver environmental benefits.
• improve community well-being.
• deliver financial benefits; and
• reliable water retailer that delivers recycled water to 69 connection points across the city via 70Km of HDPE pipe and associated infrastructure
