Whyalla Airport - Water Main Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified contractor to undertake the supply and installation of approximately 1.5km water main from Lincoln Highway to Whyalla Airport facility. The purpose of this project is to:

• Replace the existing asbestos cement water main with a modern, non-asbestos pipe material
• Improve the reliability and efficiency of the local water supply network
• Reduce the risk of unplanned outages, leaks, and emergency repairs
• Minimise ongoing maintenance and lifecycle costs
• Eliminate asbestos-containing material from the water infrastructure in the project area
• Ensure compliance with current workplace health and safety and environmental requirements
