Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Customer is responsible for the provision and management of public sector health services under the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011 (Qld). It is responsible for the delivery of public hospital and health services including medical, surgical, emergency, critical care, acute inpatient, outpatient, mental health, oral health and a range of specialist, community and outreach services. The Customer comprises 3 large regional hospitals located at Bundaberg, Maryborough and Hervey Bay. In addition, it operates 8 rural hospitals and/or multipurpose health centres as well as the health centre at Maryborough Correctional Centre.

Through this ITO, the Customer is seeking Offers for WBHHS130733 for three Lots as follows:

1. Lot 1 - onsite radiologist services.

2. Lot 2 - after hours and overflow radiology reporting services, and

3. Lot 3 - full offsite medical imaging, nuclear medicine and PET services including imaging, acquisition, clinical care and reporting.

The purpose of this ITO is to establish one or multiple service agreements for the provision of Services that will enable the Customer to provide a high level of care to patients and drive best value for money whilst complying with the relevant policies and procedures.

The successful Provider/s will be expected to:

1. provide the Customer with the appropriate level of service in relation to the turnaround time and reporting accuracy;

2. provide the Customer with appropriate level of capacity and capability to enable efficient patient care;

3. optimise service delivery through the engagement of clinical and radiology leadership and best practice from industry;

4. provide deliverables which are high quality, clinically appropriate, fiscally sound and commercially competitive;

5. establish a strong relationship between the Customer clinicians and the Provider to provide quality deliverables over the arrangement lifecycle;

6. allow for the emerging requirements of the Customer;

7. support the future service model which creates a sustainable agile imaging service; and

8. support a learning and education environment.

The Customer is seeking innovative responses from suitably qualified Providers wishing to partner with the health service to meet the long-term needs of the Customer.
