⁠⁠⁠The supplier is to provide all plant, labour, supervision, and associated services required to safely remediate an asbestos-contaminated area.

Project goals

Crown lands have engaged the Soil Conservation Service to remediate this project site as much as possible within a restricted budget, focusing on the initial clearing of visible above ground stockpiles (hot spots), emu-picking any visible pieces of asbestos scattered across the landscape and the capping of old waste burial sites across 3 areas. The objective of this project is to undertake remedial works at this site to prevent exposure of people to asbestos fibres.

Scope

Asbestos Removal and Remediation. The supplier is to provide all plant, labour, supervision, and associated services required to safely remediate an asbestos-contaminated area.

1. Plant and Equipment (Wet Hire)Provide wet hire of the following plant:

• Moxy (20T–30T) – approx. 4 days

• Excavators (14T–16T) x2 – approx. 10 days

• Loader (15T–20T) – approx. 4 days

• Watercarts x2 – approx. 15 days 2.

Labour and Supervision Provide:

• Licensed Asbestos Removal Supervisor – approx. 15 days

• Labourers (x4) for asbestos (ACM) hand-picking – approx. 10 days 3. Materials and Consumables.

Supply all materials required for safe asbestos removal, including:

• PPE

• Disposal bags

• Signage

• Decontamination equipment and processes

4. Water Supply - Provide water for dust suppression

5. Compliance and Documentation

The contractor must:

• Lodge all required documentation with the EPA or relevant authorities

• Comply with all applicable WHS and environmental regulations

Location:

The Principal is seeking tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced organisations for the removal of bonded asbestos from a contaminated site in Cobar NSW
