Powerhouse seeks to engage an Australian culinary industry leader to collaborate with the Powerhouse Food team in developing and delivering an ambitious food-focused program.
Project goals
The Powerhouse seeks to engage an Australian culinary industry leader to collaborate with the Powerhouse Food team in the development and delivery of an ambitious, food‑focused program for the Powerhouse Parramatta Opening Festival 2026 and the 12‑month Opening Program in 2027.
The appointed industry leader will bring significant experience across the restaurant sector, a strong track record of collaboration with high-profile national and international chefs, and demonstrated success in delivering food-focused projects to diverse communities. Working closely with the Food team, the industry leader will support the delivery of a dynamic program which may include masterclasses, workshops, industry symposia, curated dining experiences, publications, and learning and digital initiatives. There will also be an opportunity to advice on the development of the Australian Culinary Archive. Acting as an advocate and ambassador, the industry leader will help position the Powerhouse Food program within a broader cultural and industry context, ensuring it resonates nationally and internationally.
Powerhouse Parramatta will feature the Vitocco Family Kitchen, a 200‑seat demonstration kitchen designed to bring together industry and community alongside Australian and international chefs and producers. The industry leader will collaborate with the Powerhouse Food team to present an annual program that supports industry connection, cultural exchange, and community‑led learning initiatives.
Scope
In collaboration with the Powerhouse the culinary industry leader will:
- Support the Powerhouse Food team to develop and deliver programs within the Powerhouse Parramatta Opening Festival 2026.
- Support the Powerhouse Food team to develop and deliver programs for the Powerhouse Parramatta 12-month program 2027.
- Identify international and national culinary industry experts for collaboration and contribute to the development and delivery of a dynamic program include masterclasses, workshops, industry symposia, curated dining experiences, publications, and learning and digital initiatives.
- Provide strategic advice on the development of the Australian Culinary Archive.
- Act as an advocate and ambassador for the Powerhouse to position the Powerhouse Food program resonates both nationally and internationally.
Out of Scope
Budget and project management, copyright/release clearances, and registration/documentation of archive.
