Napranum ASC (Council) on the Western Cape York (near Weipa) is seeking to establish a Prequalified Electrical and Trade Contractors arrangement.
Category A will be the Electrical list and Category B will be the Trade Services list.
These lists will be the source for quotes for all future small project and reactive Electrical and Trade work as it arises over the term of the arrangement. Council does reserve the right to seek other responses for major projects if considered necessary.
The request for tender (RFT) once finalised will establish contracts with the successful tenderers for an initial term of 3 years with then options for 2 x one year extensions at Councils discretion.
Category A – Electrical
Council is seeking Tenders to develop a Category A, Prequalified Supplier Arrangement (PSA) for Electrical Trade Contractors.
Respondents must have the appropriate experience, permits, licenses, qualifications and certificates where relevant for delivering the Services. The successful Electrical Trade Contractor(s) will generally be required to work on Council properties/assets in the Napranum Aboriginal Shire, under the direction of Council officers.
The contractors are to provide licensed electrical trade services for planned, reactive, preventative, and emergency works across Council facilities, assets, and infrastructure.
All work must comply with:
• AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules)
• AS/NZS 3017 (Testing & Verification)
• Electrical Safety Act 2002 (Qld)
• Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 (Qld)
• WHS legislation and Codes of Practice
• Manufacturer standards & OEM specifications
• Council policies, procedures and site rules
Contractors must ensure:
• Personnel hold appropriate electrical work licences
• Test equipment is calibrated and certified
• Safe work procedures (SWMS) are used
• All work is supervised, certified, and recorded
