Footpath and Kerb Construction

⁠⁠⁠ Northern Areas Council invites tenders from Tenderers for the construction of a footpath and kerb at the township of Gladstone and Georgetown. The Council will enter a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

The Council has identified the need for a comprehensive renewal and upgrade program of footpath and kerb infrastructure within its municipal boundaries. This initiative forms part of Council's ongoing commitment to maintaining safe, accessible, and sustainable pedestrian infrastructure that serves the community's current and future needs. Before this, council engaged its internal team to construct the footpath and kerb infrastructure which came with challenges in various aspects and dissatisfaction in the community with the quality of works. Therefore, council wants to engage a qualified contractor to get professional expertise, independent quality assurance and comprehensive technical solutions that will ensure delivery of infrastructure meeting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

All the design works and detailed drawings have been completed by FYFE and will serve as the benchmark for the construction works. These documents will be attached as a part of detailed specifications for the work.
