Replace Sand Filters – Moura Pool

⁠⁠⁠Scope: Banana Shire Council is seeking to engage a qualified contractor to supply and replace the sand filters at Moura Pool Facility.

Site Location: Davey St, Moura 4718

Pool filtration: Chlorinated 25 m pool

We require a ‘like for like’ replacement.

Please ensure your quote includes the following and any additional charges/precautions you foresee:

• remove existing filters and media

• reconnect new replacement sand filter system,

• ensure all entry and exit points are connected and sealed appropriately

• backwash, test and commission on conclusion,

• all waste materials (old connections and filters) from the replaced units will be the responsibility of the contractor to transport from site and discard. If it provides assistance to the contractor, Council could take the sand only from the filters at Moura Sewage Treatment Plant. It would be the responsibility of the contractor to transport it to the new site. Please confirm on quotation if you require this.

We intend works to be carried out between May 5th and August 1st 2026. The pool will be filled with water but not in operation, the facility will be closed for the winter season.

Please ensure quotation includes, all labour, materials and equipment required and travel/accommodation as necessary.

The contractor will be required to supply all risk assessments and safety measures.
