Summary
GRDC has invested in peanut breeding for over 30 years, beginning in the 1980s up until the transition of breeding to the Peanut Company of Australia (PCA) (a subsidiary of Bega Group) in 2023. Following a strategic re-alignment at Bega Cheese Ltd, the partners and germplasm co-owners (GRDC, PCA and Queensland Department of Primary Industries), are seeking proposals from suitable tenderers interested in licensing germplasm and varieties to conduct breeding and commercialisation of new peanut varieties to benefit the Australian grains industry.
Offer period
Offers will remain open for acceptance by the GRDC for a period of 6 months after the Closing Time.
