Staff Wi-Fi Refresh

⁠⁠⁠This project will refresh WAPs technology across 37 City locations before its current version becomes unsupported in July 2026.

With approximately 1,650 devices connecting to the Staff Wi-Fi network each day, transferring more than 6 TB of data each month, it is an important feature for City staff. The Staff Wi-Fi network also serves City staff by providing coverage across 37 locations, including the Libraries, Community Centres, Childcare Centres, and Office locations.

The network hardware will reach end of life in July 2026, which may lead to increased issues and subsequently impact the City's operations and services provided to the community. A project has been initiated to procure hardware and support and maintenance services to ensure the continuity of these critical services to the City of Sydney staff and, most importantly, to the City of Sydney community.
