Security Services

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited for security monitoring services, security patrol, security guarding services, event security services and servicing and maintenance of access control, intruder and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and equipment at nominated Council sites.

This is a schedule of rates contract structured into five (5) separable portions, as follows:

Separable Portion 1: Security Monitoring Services

Separable Portion 1 involves the external electronic security system monitoring and management of Council buildings and other assets throughout the Sunshine Coast region. In addition to specified regular services, Council will require additional management and corrective services on an ad hoc basis.

Separable Portion 2: Security Maintenance Services

Separable Portion 2 involves the periodic maintenance of a range of security systems and equipment across a number of buildings and assets throughout the Sunshine Coast Region. In addition to specified routine services, Council will require additional management and corrective services on an ad hoc basis. The successful Contractor/s will be required to establish an Annual Maintenance Planner scheduling all maintenance, testing and replacement activity performed under this contract.

Separable Portion 3: Security Patrol Services

Separable Portion 3 includes scheduled patrol services of Council assets across the Sunshine Coast Region. In addition to specified security patrol services, Council may require additional alarm response services on an ad hoc basis.

Separable Portion 4: Security Guarding Services

Separable Portion 4 includes scheduled guarding services across the Sunshine Coast Region. In addition to specified security guarding services, Council may require additional guarding services on an ad hoc basis. Council are looking to award to two contractors, one main contractor and a secondary contractor for additional and adhoc services as required.

Separable Portion 5: Event Security Services

Separable Portion 5 is for security services that may be required at different events managed by Council, at various locations such as Sunshine Coast Stadium, Venue 114, and other community based events.

Respondents can submit a tender for one (1), any or all of the Separable Portions.

This contract will commence on 1 July 2026 and will have an initial term of 2 years, with the option of one (1) further 12-month extension at Council’s discretion.
