Low Intensity Mental Health Services
Tender ID: 609865
Tender Details
Tender Description
This Request for Proposal seeks to identify a provider/provider to deliver primarily face to face, evidence based low intensity mental health services that align with the 2026 National PHN Guidance for Low Intensity Mental Health Services, and respond to the issues and opportunities identified in COORDINAREs Low Intensity Review. Commissioned services will be designed to improve access for people who face barriers to engaging with mainstream low intensity service options. COORDINARE has identified three priority population groups for this funding:
- Children aged 5-12 and their families,
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, particularly those facing cultural or language related barriers, and
- Older people (aged 65+).
COORDINARE intends to fund services that collectively provide coverage across these three priority groups. Applicants may propose services for one or more groups, and applications from smaller, community based, or specialist organisations with strong expertise or relationships in these areas are encouraged.
Funding
Applicants may apply for up to $1,095,812.00 (ex. GST) through this initiative. While a maximum amount is stated, no funding cap has been set for individual proposals in order to allow flexibility in designing services that best meet local need.
COORDINARE intends to commission services that collectively provide coverage across all three target population groups identified in this RFP (children 5 to 12 and families, CALD communities, and older people 65+). Applicants may propose a program for one, two, or all three groups.
While these groups are the primary focus for this initiative, strong proposals targeting other populations may also be considered where they clearly address local need and barriers to accessing mainstream or digital services. COORDINARE will seek to allocate funding equitably, which may influence final funding decisions.
Services funded under this initiative will run for 24 months, commencing 1 July 2026 and concluding 30 June 2028. Funding is intended to support the establishment, embedding, and full implementation of the proposed service
