Coffin Bay Revitalisation Project

⁠⁠⁠Lower Eyre Council (the Council) invites Tenders from Tenderers for the provision of civil construction works in Coffin Bay, South Australia. (the Services).

The Tenderer shall provide the Services in accordance with the Specifications contained within Section D.

Coffin Bay Yacht Club Car Park

Construction of car park covering kerbing, line marking, stormwater (with WSUD raingardens), footpaths and lighting

The yacht club is a central part of the town community with few other options for parking. The area is busy and occupation of the car park for construction will be a substantial inconvenience to the yacht club and a few residential seaside dwellings. Ideally this work should be completed to a stage that can manage the first tourist peak on the long weekend at the beginning of October and concluded by the December school holidays.

Working in and communicating with the local community will be an important element when undertaking construction at this site.

Esplanade Parallel Parking and Footpath

Construction of parallel parking and footpath adjacent the Esplanade. Widening of verge will require the construction of a retainer wall on the parkland side. The Esplanade is a Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) road which will require the contractor to obtain a permit from DIT to undertake the work. Work needs to be concluded by the December school holidays. This may need to be staged differently to the yacht club car parking to allow some parking during the construction of the yacht club car park.

Jubilee Drive Kerbing and Footpath (Option South Side / Option North Side).

Two options are to be provided by the Tenderer being an option for a footpath on the south side and an option on the north side. Work includes road widening and sealing, kerbing, backfilling and a concrete footpath. Work needs to be concluded by the December school holidays.

Reserve Footpath

Construction of around 50 metres winding ogre coloured concrete footpath through a parkland reserve, towards the Esplanade. Work needs to be concluded by the December school holidays
