Principal Design Consultancy Services for the Gil Recreation Centre (GRC)

⁠⁠⁠ABOUT THE COUNCIL: The Gilgandra local government area is situated in the central west of NSW and covers an area of 4,800 square kilometres, including the township of Gilgandra and three smaller villages of Tooraweenah, Armatree and Curban.

Gilgandra is located on the junction of the Newell, Oxley, and Castlereagh Highways. It is 432 km north-west of Sydney and 60 km north of Dubbo and is located approximately halfway on the inland route from Melbourne to Brisbane.

ABOUT THE TENDER: Council is intending to construct a new aquatic, sport and recreation facility at the intersection of Warren Road and the Newell Highway otherwise known as the Gilgandra Recreation Centre (GRC). Council invites suitably qualified and experienced principal design consultants (PDC) to submit a tender for the provision of master planning & pre-construction DA documentation plus subsequent design stages for the GRC.

SUBMISSIONS: Gilgandra Shire Council requests tenderers to submit their tender via the electronic tender box using the PDF or Word version of the forms.

Respondents will receive a Successful Submission Receipt timed and dated upon completion. 

LOCAL PURCHASING POLICY: Gilgandra Shire Council has a local purchasing policy.

STATEMENT OF BUSINESS ETHICS: Gilgandra Shire Council will undertake this tender in accordance with its Statement of Business Ethics.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME: Tenders close at 11.00am on Monday, 4 May 2026 and submissions must be FULLY RECEIVED BY THIS TIME. The Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit. Council staff are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the proposal. Late, verbal, faxed or emailed proposals will not be accepted.
