Improved Cattle Discharge Platform Design and Field Trial

⁠⁠⁠Expressions of Interest are sought from suitably qualified organisations to support the design, fabrication and real world testing of an improved discharge platform for use in live cattle export supply chains.

The discharge of cattle from export vessels to trucks at destination ports relies on temporary or fixed discharge platforms.

This project provides an opportunity to address practical constraints associated with existing designs identified through previous industry work, which include alignment challenges, reduced operator visibility and inefficiencies during truck changeover. It will involve the development of a prototype discharge platform, followed by deployment and field testing under commercial operating conditions at an Indonesian port.

The findings will help inform whether improved platform designs could be adopted more broadly across Indonesia and other supply chains.

The aim of this Expression of Interest process is to identify organisations with the technical capability, practical experience and operational flexibility to deliver the project. Shortlisted respondents will be invited to participate in a subsequent, more detailed procurement process.
