Darwin City Centre Bike Lanes Design

⁠⁠⁠The project involves the detailed design of bicycle infrastructure along Cavenagh Street, Gardens Road, Searcy Street, and Peel Street within the Darwin CBD.

The works include the provision of on-road bicycle lanes, off-road bicycle path improvements where road width is limited, and safe connection points to the existing cycling network including Smith Street, Garramilla Boulevard, Gardens Road, and The Esplanade.

The project also includes safe intersection treatments (with swept path analysis), along with appropriate signage and line marking to formalise the bicycle routes and support e-scooter use.

The design will align with the City of Darwin Movement Strategy and City of Darwin Place and Liveability Plan to improve safety, connectivity, and streetscape amenity while promoting active transport.
