Headspace Port Augusta Request for Tender (RFT)

⁠⁠⁠Country SA PHN currently commissions and manages nine headspace services. The existing sites are in Port Lincoln, Port Augusta, Mount Barker, Berri, Murray Bridge, Victor Harbor, Mount Gambier, Gawler, and Whyalla. There has been consistent growth in the Country SA region over the last ten years. Undertaking a market process at this time provides an opportunity to strengthen service delivery by encouraging innovation, enhancing value, and supporting sustainable models of care.

Country SA PHN invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced organisations, who have the capacity and capability to deliver the services. When providing information regarding capacity and capability, applicants should assume that assessors have no prior knowledge of the organisations activities, experience, or previous work undertaken. Responses should therefore be clear, accessible, and written in a way that can be understood by a young person with no prior experience of RFT processes.

Services must continue to be delivered from the current headspace Port Augusta Centre located at 16-20 Railway Parade, Port Augusta SA. Outreach will be delivered to Oodnadatta, Marree, Leigh Creek, Yalata, Hawker and Quorn via road, in collaboration with the Royal Flying Doctor Service and local service providers.

Note: If the outcome of the tender necessitates a transition of Lead Agency, the headspace port Augusta centre will remain fully operational during this transition period and aligned to all relevant guidelines, governance arrangements and service agreements.

Funding for the transition of the headspace service is expected to commence from between August and September 2026, with the Centre to be fully operational and services and site transitioned across from the current Lead Agency not later than 01 January 2027.
