Events Electrical Services Panel

⁠⁠⁠The South Australian Tourism Commission is opening the existing Events Electrical Services Panel to seek additional suppliers for the provision of electrical services.

Scope:

The South Australian Tourism Commission owns and manages three major events in South Australia and these events plus other ad hoc projects, are managed by our events unit Events South Australia (ESA). All events are conducted ‘outside a fixed venue’ where permanent structures may or may not exist and as such, SATC require temporary event electrical services to stage the event successfully.

SATC owned and managed events include but are not limited to:

• Tour Down Under

• Christmas Pageant

• Tasting Australia

As SATC undertake other events they will become part of the scope of the Panel Agreement.

Following establishment of the new Panel, a secondary procurement process will be undertaken with Panel members.

The secondary procurement process will request Panel members respond to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a specific SATC event/project (Service Brief). Suppliers will be asked to respond within 7days.

Following evaluation of the RFQ responses, the successful supplier will be issued a Work Order to engage their services.

Each event managed and conducted by the SATC, has custom specific requirements and considerations, which will vary depending on the equipment requiring electrical connection.

Considerations may include but not be limited to:

• Expected attendance numbers

• The duration of the event

• The location of the event (metro or regional delivery)

• Access to site

• Structures and equipment used as part of the site design

• Site specific elements like catering vendors, security lighting etc.

• Diesel generation where mains power is not available.
